You may be asking... What???? No Thanksgiving or Christmas décor post? What's up with you Lori? haha!! No, not yet! It is coming I promise! Have you guys decorated yet? Are you an early Christmas décor fan? Or do you prefer to decorate after Thanksgiving? Well, it will be happening here soon just not quite yet, so stay tuned for that but today I wanted to share this sweet antique cabinet with you.
I knew when I saw it (at Wirewood Market in Altamonte Springs, FL) that I'd love to use it for our coffee station here in our kitchen. First, I needed to remove the floating shelves here on this wall (which I stored away for future use), then patch the holes and give the shiplap and the wall next to it a fresh coat of paint. You guys, this is why I love shiplap. Holes are so easy to repair and it looks good as new after the paint is applied.
For both of these walls I used Alabaster, Sherwin Williams in Eggshell.
I also took the opportunity to finish off this corner with a piece of leftover trim from another project.
Antiques and vintage finds, in my opinion, instantly add character and charm to a space and this piece is warming up our coffee station with its beautiful rustic wood tones.
I had so much fun styling this little space with flea market finds, my sweet wood Farm Fresh sign from my buddy Julie with Reclaimed & Lovely. It was so fun to play and create with this cabinet.
Thanks for stopping by and checking out our cozy coffee corner. I wish you all could come by and chat a while or maybe even do a project with me! Maybe some day! Have a wonderful week friends!
P.S. To hang the cabinet I used basic L brackets and screwed into the studs on the wall.
