Dear Lord

National Day of Prayer. A day our country has dedicated for prayer got me thinking. It brought back memories of when my boys were little. I would sit on the edge of their bed and listen to their precious prayers. Yes, there were prayers about wild animals, boo boos, and toys, but their childlike faith~ filled prayers always moved me to tears. They didn't get caught up in over analyzing their prayers, they were simply talking to their Father in heaven. They trusted God would hear them. A lesson I want to forever treasure in my heart. I believe each of us could use encouragement when it comes to prayer. We usually do an adequate amount of criticizing and analyzing our prayer life which has its place, don't get me wrong, but lets think about these thoughts today that are uplifting & powerful truths.

"Remember, there is no prayer too big for God to answer, no enemy that He cannot defeat, and no promise that is too hard for Him to fulfill." ~Christine Caine

"The LORD is near to all who call on him, to all who call on him in truth." Psalm 145:18

"Let us then with confidence draw near to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need." Hebrews 4:16

"May God remind us daily - no matter what kind of obstacles we face- that we are loved and empowered by the One who brought the universe into existence with the mere sound of His voice. Nothing is impossible for Him." ~ Beth Moore

"We're often intimidated in battle because we are uncertain of our faith. We must remember we don't stand in victory because of our faith. We stand in victory because of our God. Faith in faith is pointless. Faith in a living, active God moves mountains." ~Beth Moore

It's about victory in Him~ God is so good. Yesterday, today, and always. I believe all too often we look at our daily circumstances and what we as people can't do or change, when we need to look to God, and what He can do. Praising Him today for these reminders. I also pray today that we "take up the shield of faith, with which we can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one" (Ephesians 6:16) ~ choosing instead to believe that our God is Able, Powerful, Mighty, Holy, Sovereign, Faithful, and a Loving Lord that is patiently waiting for you and me.

Love & Blessings,
