Family Affair
Do y’all have that room in your house that you pass every day and say, “I’m so over this?” Our entryway/foyer has been speaking blah to me for a while now. It’s been the same for 13 years and I've just been waiting for the right time to give it some new life. The light fixture and flooring were on the top of my list to change out! I thought about painting the tiles, but Clay, who installed tile in College, wasn’t really on board with that choice. (I will have to try that out

Today is a NEW day!
Welcome friends, I am so glad you’re here! It’s a new day with a new beginning. I’ve thought a lot about that idea lately. Its never too late to learn something new, begin a new chapter, tackle that list. Coming from this introverted creative gal, boy am I breaking out of my comfort zone here beginning this new work. For too long I had dreams that I would sabotage with negative self talk, but today is a new day. Relying not on my strength but on the Lord’s. “being confident

One woman's trash...
Repurposing furniture may just be some of my favorite types of projects. I love taking something others might discard and give them an update and make them useful again. This dresser had some damage, so I decided to repurpose it to a potting bench. I also had a beautiful but rustic antique door. When decorating a home, there are pictures to be hung, projects that you really wish you could tackle on your own… and if you’re like me, you’d like it done, yesterday. 😉 This is when basi

SHIPLAP! Ok, it's not really shiplap...
Why do I love this look so much? It’s a funny story… maybe a long one, EEP! Y’all, I once was a habitual wall painter. Painter of all the walls, I was. What color you ask? ALL of them, haha! Our first home, at one time, was a different color in every room, and I may even had been proud of that, sadly. Oh, and a theme to boot! I’ve always been a lover of color, but I was over choosing wall colors, faux sponge painting and stenciling. Yep, I had all of that going on… Anyway, ba

Rest, Peace, & Direction
My relationship with Jesus is the most important thing in my life. Without Him, I am lost, in myself, my feelings, pride, and selfishness. BUT, with Him, I find rest, peace, and direction. Here in this little space, I’m calling Thoughtful Thursday, I’d like to share my heart with you. I’m not an expert with a degree in Theology, but a Wife, Mom, and daughter relying on Him with simple faith. I might share scripture, a thought, or a word of encouragement. You guys, so many pul
